The Tamil population, who comes from the north-eastern areas of Sri Lanka, and originally came from the neighboring India, found itself involved in a bloody, thirty years long civil war of ethnic nature with the Sinhalese population.
About ten years after the war, the Tamil population is still suffering the policy of the central government, that aims to erase their social and cultural identity.
